Bullion

Investment-grade gold sold by weight, usually as bars or coins.

Definition

Bullion is physical gold sold primarily for its metal content rather than its craftsmanship. Standard forms include LBMA good-delivery bars, sovereign coins such as the Krugerrand and Maple Leaf, and small investment bars from refiners like PAMP or MMTC-PAMP.
