KmalServico presents Saudi gold prices in Saudi riyals (SAR), with gram as the configured primary unit. The page separates the international gold benchmark from the local-currency value, which is important when comparing a live reference price with a physical jewellery quotation.

Start with purity and weight before comparing two Saudi quotations. KmalServico’s gram-based table lets you compare supported purities on the same weight basis. A jewellery quotation should not be treated as identical to the spot-derived metal value because the finished item may include additional commercial charges.

The World Gold Council’s Q2 2026 jewellery report says Saudi jewellery demand was supported by Hajj-related tourism, wedding demand and Eid-related buying. That gives the Saudi page a different seasonal context from markets where festivals or harvest cycles are the main reported drivers.

Jewellery and its making charges are taxed at Saudi Arabia's standard 15% VAT rate, though investment-grade gold of 99% purity or higher can qualify for a 0% VAT rate under specific conditions rather than the standard rate.

Methodology
How we calculate the price
- We fetch the international spot gold price (XAU/USD) live from xaus.com + gold-api.com, with automatic failover between providers.
- The spot rate is converted into the local currency using live exchange rates from exchangerate-api.com, then scaled by purity (24K, 22K, 18K…) and by weight (gram, tola, ounce, kilogram, baht).
- The result is the pure spot value. Retail counters may add dealer premium, tax and making charges — the number here is the underlying benchmark.
