View full history →About the Azerbaijan gold market
Azerbaijan has a centuries-old jewellery-making tradition centred on several historic production hubs — Baku, Ganja, Shemakha, Shusha, Shaki, and Nakhchivan — each historically known for its own regional styles. One of the most significant surviving examples of traditional Azerbaijani goldsmithing, an elaborately worked gold "Golden Woman's Belt," is held today at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan in Baku, reflecting a jewellery tradition where gold pieces have long doubled as symbols of family wealth and status rather than purely decorative items.

Methodology
How we calculate the price
- We fetch the international spot gold price (XAU/USD) live from gold-api.com + xaus.com, with automatic failover between providers.
- The spot rate is converted into the local currency using live exchange rates from exchangerate-api.com, then scaled by purity (24K, 22K, 18K…) and by weight (gram, tola, ounce, kilogram, baht).
- The result is the pure spot value. Retail counters may add dealer premium, tax and making charges — the number here is the underlying benchmark.
